Since June 2000 Rosalind Lawless BA (Hons) Director of 1st Voice Solutions Ltd has been providing Assistive IT software training and advice for:

  • Olympus Digital Voice Recorders for use in their own right and with Dragon speech recognition software to transcribe recordings into text
  • textHELP Read&Write and ClaroRead software to assist people with reading and writing difficulties
  • Global AutoCorrect and Global Tasks to assist with the planning of tasks and spelling as you type 
  • Digital Smart Pens - NeoSmart and similar pens for note taking and transcription 

Training
1st Voice Solutions Ltd is a Nuance Certified Advantage Partner and Trainer for Dragon speech recognition software and holds Certified Trainer Status for textHELP Read&Write, and ClaroRead and Accredited Trainer Status for Inspiration.

2 Teachers Certificates, an ECDL, Pitman and NVQ Assessors Qualifications, help ensure high quality training, delivered with empathy and understanding.

All training is focused on the client’s individual needs and can be delivered either as face to face sessions, if legislation and personal safety make this possible; or as remote training sessions, using a variety of remote access software programs.

Every training session is supported with focused practical exercises and materials for future reference and to aid the learning experience.  


European Award
A speech recognition training programme Rosalind designed in 2000 received 1 of only 16 European Awards made that year by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.

About Rosalind Lawless
Rosalind Lawless has RSI - Repetitive Strain Injury, which in 1997 forced a total career change before she could return to employment.

She has undertaken IT Qualifications - ECDL and Pitmans, 2 Teachers Certificates and NVQ Assessors Awards; all using Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software.

Often life has proved challenging both personally and professionally (!) but it does mean Rosalind can today deliver training and provide advice with both empathy and understanding for her clients' in a friendly and relaxed manner.

Training is always customised to the client's needs and typically delivered on a 1:1 basis at the client's location or remotely as interactive video training sessions. Many past clients have been able to successfully stay at work, return to work, or undertake qualifications.
